What hospitality includes?

  The hospitality industry consists of broad category of fields within the service industry that includes lodging, restaurants, event planning, theme parks, transportation, cruise line, and additional fields within the tourism industry. The hospitality industry is a several billion dollar industry that mostly depends on the availability of leisure time and disposable income. A hospitality unit such as a restaurant, hotel, or even an amusement park consists of multiple groups such as facility maintenance, direct operations (servers, housekeepers, porters, kitchen workers, bartenders, etc.), management, marketing, and human resources.

Hospitality Industry

 Through the era, people contained businesses. Some succeeded, some did not. People lived with own perspective and one of those is to gain profit. Every business varies and diverse. In a current situation, hospitality industry leads the crop, it is where people of today make the most of their living. This industry is inclined with rendering products and services, which intend to be the most wanted of the people of today. We can’t deny the fact that we, as Filipinos are hospitable, so there’s no reason for us not to delve unto this kind if industry. 
  The hospitality industry covers a wide range of organizations offering food service and accommodation. The industry is divided into sectors according to the skill-sets required for the work involved. Sectors include accommodation, food and beverage, meeting and events, gaming, entertainment and recreation, tourism services, and visitor information.
  

Management functions :

PLANNING

  

     a process for accomplishing purposes. It is a blue print of business growth and a road map of development. It helps in deciding objectives both in quantitative and qualitative terms. It is setting of goals on the basis of objectives.

  A first stage that the management should go through, in which conforms the idea of "plan first ,before everything". In this stage , you have to formulate objectives, goals and businesses purposes. In planning also, it conquers the success and failure of the certain business. 

ORGANIZING

   A step’s on how the management organize the field. This include the sorting of the effectiveness of the manpower to their respective expertise.  To institute and to establish the subordinates of a certain group, as well as attaining the corresponding action towards people of an industry. 

CONTROLLING

  Consists of verifying whether everything occurs in confirmities with the plans adopted, instructions issued and principles established. Controlling ensures that there is effective and efficient utilization of organizational resources so as to achieve the planned goals. Controlling measures the deviation of actual performance from the standard performance, discovers the causes of such deviations and helps in taking corrective action.

 LEADING

  Managers need leadership and leaders need management in an indivisible, mutual partnership.

Has been described as the “process of social influence in which one person can enlist the aid and support of others in the accomplishment of a common task”. Definitions inclusive of nature of leadership have also emerged.Effective leadership is the ability to successfully integrate and maximize available resources within the internal and external enviroment for the attainment of organizational goals.

What is Management ?

Management is the process of getting activities completed efficiently and effectively with and through other people.

   This functions plays a vital role in a world of management, specially in the Hospitality Industry. It implies a great significance towards management. Thus, those were the stage on how the management made effective as well as the consistency that will depend on the top management, solely. 

    We, personally taught by our management mentor, that a certain industry, business, organization and institution relies on how managerial functions applied to the field.

   This includes, if how management has been effective and sufficient in the field of Hospitality Industry. It takes steps on how the certain management accomplish the commonly held objective. The fact that every organization depends on how the "principal management" holds, handles, manages, and supervise their subordinates. 

   

What is hospitality ?

  It is the relationship between guest and host, or the act or practice of being hospitable. Specifically, this includes the reception and entertainment of guests, visitors, or strangers, resorts, membership clubs, conventions, attractions, special events, and other services for travelers and tourists.
